Pet First Aid (Dog and Cat First Aid)

November 18 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

$48.00

This class in 1 Part in a 2-part series, Pet CPR and Pet First Aid. We have broken the course up into a shorter time frame for convenience and have designed it that the courses can be taken in any order.

Pet First Aid offers hands-on training with highly trained instructor. You will get hands-on practice with our First Aid dogs Kai and Blu.

In this course you will learn how to check your pet’s vital signs, how to conduct preventative care for your pets, and how to recognize and provide first aid for the most severe emergencies your pet may experience.

Injured or sick pets may experience pain and distress. By applying first aid techniques, you can help alleviate pain and provide comfort to your pet while waiting for professional veterinary care. This can greatly reduce their suffering during critical moments.

Knowledge of pet first aid instills confidence and preparedness in handling emergency situations. It empowers you to take quick action and make informed decisions, minimizing panic and stress during a crisis. This preparedness can also help you stay calmer, which can positively impact your pet’s response and well-being.

Learning pet first aid helps you recognize signs and symptoms of serious health conditions. By being knowledgeable about common ailments, poisoning, heatstroke, or choking hazards, you can identify potential problems early and seek appropriate veterinary care promptly.

It’s important to note that pet first aid is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. It is meant to provide immediate assistance and stabilize your pet’s condition until they can receive proper medical attention. Always consult with a veterinarian for comprehensive care and guidance regarding your pet’s health.
